Rides and Attractions

Maximize your Zoo visit with hands-on, interactive activities that the whole family can enjoy! To participate in Zoo rides and attractions, a reloadable Explore More Card is required; cash is not accepted. Purchase your Explore More Card* at the ticket booth or one of several convenient locations throughout the Zoo. For year-round savings on rides and attractions, consider our Explorer memberships.

NEW! Saluda Skyride

  • 9:00AM – 5:00PM daily.
  • Free with admission.
  • Maximum of 8 guests per cabin. Guests under 15-years-old must be accompanied by a supervising companion. More info.

Endangered Species Carousel

  • 9:00AM – 4:30PM daily.
  • 3 EC$1=1 Explore More Credit per ride. Free for Explorer and Conservation Circle members.

The Farmyard

  • 9:00AM – 4:30PM daily.
  • 3 EC$1=1 Explore More Credit per person. Free for Explorer and Conservation Circle members.

Giraffe Feeding

  • 10:00AM – 2:30PM daily (or until giraffes have eaten their daily allotment).
  • 3 EC$1=1 Explore More Credit per scoop of lettuce. Free for Explorer and Conservation Circle members.

Kangaroo Walkabout

  • 9:00AM – 4:30PM daily.
  • Free with admission.

Lorikeet Experience

  • 9:30AM – 4:30PM daily.
  • 4 EC$1=1 Explore More Credit per person upon entry (cup of nectar included). Free for Explorer and Conservation Circle members.

Riverbanks Express

  • 9:00AM – 4:30PM daily.
  • 3 EC$1=1 Explore More Credit per ride. Free for Explorer and Conservation Circle members.

Sky-High Safari

  • 10:00AM – 4:30PM daily.
  • 9 EC$1=1 Explore More Credit per climb for general public; 7 EC$1=1 Explore More Credit per climb for Individual and Family-level members; and 5 EC$1=1 Explore More Credit per climb for Explorer and Conservation Circle members.
  • Min. 48" tall w/out parental supervision; max. 300 lbs. Appropriate shoes required to climb; no flip-flops or open-heeled shoes.

Tiny Trailblazers Adventure

  • 9:00AM – 4:30PM daily.
  • 5 EC$1=1 Explore More Credit per climb. Free for Explorer and Conservation Circle members.
  • Max. 48" tall; harness must fit securely, and child must be accompanied by a responsible chaperone. Appropriate shoes required; no flip-flops or open-heeled shoes. Shoelaces must be tied.
